The FAQ

In case you were wondering...
Do you travel?
I charge a $25+ surcharge for reasonable distances over 10 miles from my address in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
How many photos do we get?
Some packages include a set number and some are all-inclusive. If your session package has a limit, don't worry! You can purchase additional photos or can upgrade to your full gallery.
Do you retouch photos?
Yes! I will color correct and remove any obvious imperfections before you receive your watermarked digital prints.
Specialty edits are available for $15 per photo.
How do we book you?
Please submit in an inquiry on my contact page! This helps provide me with as much info as possible before we discuss your session.
My availability during busy season is included on my mini session dates. If you have any questions or the date you'd like looks unavailable, please reach out!
What is your policy for inclement weather?
Michigan weather can be so unpredictable, but I leave room in my monthly calendar to make sure we're able to reschedule within a week or two!
How long have you been doing this?
I have been taking DSLR pictures of my kids and family since March 2017, but I officially launched my photography business in October 2021.
How do we get our photos?
I will deliver your watermarked digital gallery to you via email. From there you can choose your favorites and I will complete the edits before delivering your finalized gallery.
What is your turn around time?
I promise to have your pictures back to you within two weeks, unless otherwise noted.
What should we wear?
Outfit planning really is key to pretty photos! But don't stress - let me help you through it!
Try to coordinate colors without matching too much. Pick one clothing piece or print and build around that with solids and neutrals. My favorite colors to photograph are creams, rich jewel or pretty neutral tones. Make sure you're comfortable and wear something timeless! I would love to help you plan outfits. Please reach out for custom coordination or to take advantage of my style guide and client wardrobe.
What time of day do you shoot?
An hour or two before sunset is preferred! Soft sun is best for the prettiest lighting.
For sessions with small children, I recommend a later nap to help stretch them to golden hour! An early morning shoot is also a great option.
